applications post-doctoral research fellow – “Democracy Barometer”
The NCCR Democracy project “Democracy Barometer” invites applications for a post-doctoral research fellow (60%).
The Democracy Barometer is a new instrument that aims at measuring and understanding the quality of democracy. Looking at the fundamental principles of democracy, the project team studies the causes and consequences of democratic qualities, paths of successful democratization, and problems of democracy/democratization in a comparative perspective, see www.democracybarometer.org for more information.
The post-doctoral fellow is expected to pursue a research and publication agenda linked to the Democracy Barometer. He/she fulfils tasks in coordinating and further developing the project in close cooperation with the two directors.
The project team consists of two directors, Prof. Daniel Bochsler at the University of Zurich (UZH) and Prof. Wolfgang Merkel at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB), two PhD students at UZH and collaborators at WZB and at the University of Bern.
